Arlington, Va. – Junior Miranda Krott posted her third double-double in as many games on Wednesday night, though the Saints fell 68-58 to visiting Randolph-Macon.  A perennial power in the ODAC, the Yellow Jackets capitalized on Marymount turnovers to extend the margin of victory late in the contest.

The Saints fall to 2-1 on the season with the loss.

Marymount swiped a 9-7 lead at the 15:30 mark – courtesy of a Leah Hurst three-pointer – and would not relinquish the advantage for the remaining first half ticks.

Hurst drove in for a layup to ring in the second half, extending the Saints' lead to a game-high 11 points.  While a point-for-point volley saw the double-digit margin hold, the Yellow Jackets were about to find some good fortune.

The visitors sprung for a 22-4 run over the next eight minutes or so, snatching the lead away and building a 51-44 cushion.

A pair of jumpers from Kiki Laux kept the Saints within five, with Kievanna Lacey cutting the deficit to 53-50 with just 5:53 remaining.

A quick 6-0 burst from the Yellow Jackets put the visitors up nine with 3:38 on the clock – not leaving the Saints enough ticks to mount a comeback.

Krott paced the Blue and White with her 14 points and game-high 14 rebounds.  The junior forward has registered a double-double in each of the Saints' contests this season.

Laux proved a dominant force in the paint – posting a team-high 17 points off the bench for Marymount while also hauling in eight boards.  Hurst bolstered the offense with 12, as Lacey collected nine points and seven assists on the night.

The Saints return to action on Monday when they travel to Shenandoah.  Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
