Kelly Fraser Garners Skyline Conference Co-Player Of The Week Honors

New York, N.Y. – College of Mount Saint Vincent senior center Kelly Fraser (Staten Island, N.Y.) has been named a Skyline Conference Co-Player of the Week in Women's Basketball it was announced by the league office on Monday. Fraser shares the award with Farmingdale State's Camille Romero.

 

Fraser helped Mount Saint Vincent to a 1-1 week during play at the McDaniel Tip-Off Tournament by averaging 16.0 points, 18.0 rebounds and 4.5 blocks per game. Fraser went 12-for-34 from the floor over the two game stretch and added three assists and two steals.

 

In the season opener against Alvernia on Friday, a 56-55 Mount Saint Vincent victory, Fraser registered her first of two double-doubles after scoring 22 points and adding 17 rebounds. She blocked four shots against the Crusaders and added an assist. Fraser closed out the week with 10 points and a game-high 19 rebounds against McDaniel on Sunday, adding five blocked shots and three assists in 35 minutes of action.

 

At 1-1 overall on the season, Mount Saint Vincent will travel to New Rochelle on Friday for the third game of a season opening five game road trip. Tip-off with the Blue Angels is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
