Becker athletic director Frank Millerick has named David Bostick the head coach of the women's basketball program.

"I am excited that David has accepted our offer to become the next head coach of women's basketball at Becker College," said Millerick. "His experience as both a head coach and an assistant coach, coupled with his passion and commitment to Becker, make him the ideal choice. I am confident he will carry on the long and storied success of Becker College women's basketball."

Bostick, a 2005 graduate of Becker, returns to his alma mater after a one-year stint as the head women's basketball coach at Fitchburg State. Bostick directed the Falcons to 13-12 record, earning a MASCAC tournament appearance.

Prior to Fitchburg State, Bostick was the head women's tennis coach for five seasons and assistant women's basketball coach for four seasons at Becker. As the tennis coach, Bostick led the Hawks to three consecutive NECC championships. Bostick also earned the NECC Coach of the Year Award three times.

A four-year member of the men's basketball team at Becker, Bostick scored 1,086 points. Bostick holds two bachelor degrees from Becker, including a B.A. in psychology and a B.S. in business administration.

"I am grateful to be named the Becker College women's basketball coach, "said Bostick. "I would like to thank Frank Millerick for giving me the opportunity to return to my alma mater to help rebuild the tradition of the women's basketball program."
