Terriers Denied by Conference Foe NEC, 62-41

With the win the Pilgrims improve to 7-4 overall and 4-1 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play.  The loss drops the Terriers to 2-8 on the season and 2-3 in NAC play.
 
New England College jumped out to the 14-1 lead just minutes into the game and never trail.  Thomas cut the lead to eight midway through the opening half and trailed just 10 at halftime heading into the intermission down 32-22.
 
The Pilgrims held off the Terrier offensive much of the second half holding them to just 30% shooting from the field.  NEC would continue to build off their halftime lead up 14 much of the half and closing out the game on a 9-4 run eventually solidifying the 62-41 victory.
 
In addition to Williams, the Pilgrims were led by Kayla Lawlor who finished with 16 points and five rebounds.  NEC's Taylor Burgess finished with 14 points and six rebounds, while Katarina Muska led all players with eight assists.
 
Leading the way for Thomas was Katie McAllister, who finished with a team-high 15 points and four rebounds.  Thomas' Ashleigh Gagne finished with eight points and Emilee Reynolds chipped in seven points for the Terriers.
 
Thomas will be back in action again tomorrow as they travel to take on NAC opponent Colby-Sawyer College.
