Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Basketball Team won their second straight contest on Tuesday evening, defeating visiting CCNY 56-52, to claim their 17th victory of the season, improving their record to 17-6, and 10-4 in CUNYAC play.

An unlikely hero for the Bulldogs, senior Allison Donovan, who has been limited in her minutes off the BC bench, made her presence felt tonight, as the guard hit on consecutive three pointers, with her team down four and under four minutes remaining. Donovan's second three came with 2:44 remaining and gave her team a 48-46 lead.

The Bulldogs would never relinquish the lead again, and would go up by as many as six in the game's closing minutes. Nicole Francomano and Megan Campbell each made a pair of free throws in the final minute to clinch the victory.

"Allison was huge tonight," said BC Head Coach Alex Lang. "She's been shooting great in practice and we knew that she'd come up big for us in one of these games down the stretch. It was great to see her do it tonight."

After starting the second half on an 8-1 run and building nine point lead, Brooklyn could not do much right, as City would battle all the way back to take a seven point lead of their own with 5:56 remaining, but it was Donovan and BC that were too tough down the stretch to pull out the victory.

Campbell led all scorers with 22 points, while Nacirema Mann chipped in 14 points and 12 boards. Francomano had a game-high nine assists.

CCNY was led by 14 points from sophomore Bria Fisher.

Up next for Brooklyn will be CUNYAC foe York, this Saturday, February 15th, at 12:30 pm, right back at the West Quad Center. City will travel to Baruch on Friday, for a 5:30 pm game against the Bearcats.
