(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - The fifth-ranked Thomas More College women's basketball team reached the century mark of the third straight game and for the fifth time in six games tonight (Wednesday, January 29, 2014) as it defeated Chatham University, 100-37, in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game at the Connor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

With the win, the Saints improve to 18-0 overall and 11-0 in the PAC. With the loss, the Cougars fall to 3-15 overall and 2-9 in the PAC.

Thomas More built a 49-15 at halftime as it shot 57.9 percent from the field (22-of-38), including 50 percent from behind the three-point arc and 100 percent from the free-throw line (one-of-one). In the half, the Saints forced 18 Cougar turnovers and out-scored Chatham, 36-4, in the pant and 25-1 on points off turnovers.

In the second half, Thomas More shot 56.8 percent from the field (21-of-37) to lead by as many as 65 points as it out-scored Chatham, 51-22 and went on to the 100-37 victory.

For the game, the Saints out-scored Chatham, 66-12, in the paint, 47-3, on points off turnovers and 28-0 on fast break points.

With 11 assists in the game, senior guard Devin Beasley (Burlington, Ky./Conner) increased her season total to 156 and set the new Thomas More single-season record.

Sophomore guard/forward Sydney Moss (St. Albans, W.Va./Boone County (Ky.)) led three Saints in double-figure scoring with 27 points. Joining her in double-figures was senior guard Katie Kitchen (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) with 17 points and junior forward Jenny Burgoyne (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley) with 10 points. Kitchen, Moss and junior guard Stephanie Krusling (Cincinnati, Ohio/McNicholas) led the team on the boards with four rebounds each. Junior guard Sydni Wainscott (Erlanger, Ky./Simon Kenton) led the team in steals with four.

The Saints return to action on Saturday (February 1) when they travel to Waynesburg, Pennsylvania to play Waynesburg University at 1:30 p.m. at the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse.
