Women's Hoops Earns Road Win At Johnson

Middlebury evened its record to 2-2 with a 48-42 road win at Johnson State (0-4) on Tuesday night. Katie Pett went 5-8 from the floor, earning 17 points to go along with a game-high 20 rebounds on the night. The Panthers return to action on Tuesday when they host Castleton State at 5:30 p.m.

Neither team shot particularly well in the game, with Johnson State connecting on under 20 percent of its attempts, including 2-20 from three-point range. The Panthers shot 26.6 percent from the floor, going 0-11 from behind the arc. The Middlebury defense forced 16 turnovers in the contest.

Trailing 31-24 with 8:39 remaining the Panthers went on a decisive 13-2 run to take a 37-33 lead with 3:10 left. The Badgers cut the lead to a pair before Middlebury extended their advantage and went on to the victory.

Sarah Marcus added 12 points in the win for the Panthers.
