Frostburg, Md. – Marymount University's women's basketball team returned to its winning ways with a 93-62 victory at Frostburg State in Capital Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon.  The Saints improve to 8-5 on the season and 4-1 in league play.

Marymount's 93 point outburst is the most the Saints have scored in a game since matching the number against North Carolina Wesleyan in 2009.  The last time the Saints scored more than 93 points was with 97 against former CAC foe Goucher in 1997.

Four Saints scored in double-figures, led by Katelyn Fischer with a game high 27 points to go with eight assists in the win.  She shot 7-for-11 from the field, including 3-for-5 from three-point range, while going a perfect 8-for-8 at the free throw line.

Kievanna Lacey posted a double-double with 19 points and a career high 19 rebounds. Aliya Roseborough chipped in 17 points with Aileen Maknati adding 11.  Miranda Krott posted 12 boards as the Saints outrebounded Frostburg State 47-35 on the day.

Marymount never trailed in the game as a close first half saw MU take the initial lead, but were unable to pull away early.  Up 29-25 with 4:31 remaining in the opening frame the Blue and White made their move courtesy of a 14-1 run, capped by a Fischer trifecta, to take a 43-26 lead into halftime.

Coming out of the break, the Saints took a 20 point lead at the 18:43 mark and a 30 point advantage with 6:19 remaining in the game.  Marymount would lead by as many as 33 points down the stretch in the win.

Ronje James led Frostburg State (2-9, 1-5 CAC) with 19 points off the bench.
