The Albright College women's basketball team shot 64% on two-point shots, pulling away for an 85-62 win over Neumann on Thursday in the Bollman Center.

Sophomore Emily O'Donnell had 17 points in just 17 minutes of play. She made 8-of-12 shots and had a double-double with 10 rebounds.

As a team, the Lions made 35-of-55 shots (63.6%) from inside the arc, and still shot 57.1% overall despite making just one three-pointer.

Also turning in a double-double was senior Meghan Boyle, with 14 points and 10 boards. Kelecia Harris, who was just named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week for her performance earlier in December, totaled 11 points, as did freshman Shannon Thomas.

Albright led 40-24 at halftime after opening a first half lead as large as 17, 39-22 on a Thomas basket with 1:12 remaining.

Thomas' jumper with 15:39 left in the first half had given the Lions an early 10-4 lead. Jessica Venturelli scored to make it 14-5, and Nicole Fallon answered to break a Neumann run of just one field goal in the opening 8+ minutes of the game.

Fallon scored five straight points and then blocked Amanda Tiritilli's attempt, but senior Shawn Barczynski finished off the rebound for a 16-10 Albright lead. Fallon assisted Erica Marvel's three-pointer at the other end.

Tiritilli sank a three-pointer for a 20-13 Lion advantage, and O'Donnell pushed the gap to double-digits with a basket.

Harris completed a three-point play early in the second half for a 49-28 advantage. Albright grabbed its first 20-point lead on a Thomas free throw with 16:26 remaining.

Albright improves to 7-2 and will host Messiah on Monday, in a makeup game that was originally postponed on December 14.
