Jamaica, NY --- Forwards senior Megan Campbell and junior Asia Foster each recorded a double-double on Tuesday evening, as the Brooklyn College Women's Basketball team defeated the Cardinals of York College on the road by a score of 76-46 in City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) action.

With the win, BC snaps its two-game losing streak to improve to 4-3 overall and an even 1-1 in CUNYAC play. York falls to 1-7 overall and 0-2 in the conference.

Campbell poured in a game and season high 23 points on 8-for-14 shooting from the field, including going 7-for-8 from the free throw line, to go with 11 rebounds. Foster added 10 points and a game-best 12 rebounds. Senior forward T'Keyah Francis chipped in with 10 rebounds to help the Bulldogs out-rebound the Cardinals 59-37, including 18-11 in offensive rebounds, which led to 19 second chance points for Brooklyn. Francis also added seven points to her stat line.

Junior guard Nicole Francomano dished out six assists, while junior guard/forward Carissa Williams contributed with seven points. BC had 11 players score in the game.

For York, Angelika Ruggiano led the Cardinals with 17 points.

After the host Cardinals scored the opening points of the game on a layup from Kiera Burns to take an early 2-0 lead, the Bulldogs rattled off nine straight points to go ahead by seven at the 16:43 mark of the first half. Brooklyn would never trail again as the visitors would eventually take a 17 point, 41-24, halftime advantage. BC would lead by double figures throughout the entire second half as the Bulldogs would cruise to its win.

The stingy BC defense held York to just 22.6% (14-62) shooting from the field, including 33.3% (3-9) from beyond the arc. The visitors also forced the home team into 24 turnovers, which led to 23 points for the Bulldogs. The Cardinals also struggled from the free throw line converting 50.0% (15-30).

Brooklyn shot 41.5% (27-65) from the field; however, the Bulldogs went just 4-for-16 (25.0%) from three. BC also shot 64.3% (18-28) from the charity stripe.

Brooklyn will return to action tomorrow, Wednesday, December 11th, as the Bulldogs will travel to Old Westbury, NY to take on the Panthers of the College at Old Westbury.
