La Roche Improves to 4-0 With 78-68 Win Over St. Vincent

LATROBE, PA – La Roche women's basketball (4-0) continued their hot start with a 78-68 victory over St. Vincent College. The Bearcats were predicted to finish third in the President Athletic Conference standings.

With 9:56 left in regulation and the score tied at 51-51, the Lady Redhawks went on a 20-5 run. Casie Cygan and LaShauna Brothers scored 16 of La Roche's 20 points during the run.

Brothers had a terrific game and registered a double-double with 22 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 assists. MacKenzie O'Donnell finished with 21 points on 8 of 10 from the field and also added 8 rebounds. Cygan scored 21 points and Danasha Harris chipped in 6 points, 6 steals, and 11 boards. Shataya White had 6 assists in the win.

The Lady Redhawks shot 43% from the field including 59% in the second half. They also recorded 20 steals and forced 28 St. Vincent turnovers.

La Roche women's basketball will host Chatham University in their home-opener on Sunday, December 1. Tip-off is scheduled for 3PM.
