The Pride promptly built a run as the game opened, taking the eight-point lead at 17:23 before Alvernia got on the board with a three from Chelsea Ebersole (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra) at the 17-minute mark.  Widener scored the next 14 points, taking the 22-3 lead at 9:09 before Ebersole hit another three to give Alvernia just six points at 8:44.  The final eight minutes of the first half were a more even affair, with the Pride outscoring the Crusaders just 12-8 to take the 34-14 lead at the half.

Alvernia opened the second half with a timely 10-4 run capped by another three from Ebersole to cut the Pride's lead to just 14, 38-24 at 15:40.  Unfortunately for the Crusaders, Widener answered back scoring the next 19 points to take a huge 33 point lead at 10:26 with the score at 57-24.  Fortna finally stopped the bleeding with a layup at 10:10, and a free throw from Kaitlyn Yoh (Wernersville, Pa./Conrad Weiser) cut the gap to 30 with 9:36 remaining.  The Pride took no chances, adding on, and building their lead to as much as 37 in the seventh minute and as the buzzer sounded.

Alvernia shot 21.8% from the floor and was 6-13 from the foul line.  Fortna had ten for Alvernia, while Ebersole added nine with her three timely three-pointers.
