The Pitt-Bradford women's basketball team cruised to its fifth straight victory Saturday, defeating Franciscan 69-45 in its regular season finale.

With the win, the Panthers finished tied for third in the AMCC with a record of 13-5, the best mark ever in the history of the program. They will be the fourth seed in the upcoming conference tournament and host Mount Aloysius Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Pitt-Bradford went ahead 6-5 on Geena Sneeringer's layup moments into the game and never looked back, building a 14-point lead before going into the break up 33-21.

The Panthers opened the second half on a 13-4 run to push the advantage to 21, and they would lead by as much as 25 before the final horn sounded.

The Blue and Gold shot 48 percent and went 13-17 from the line. They scored 20 points off 21 Franciscan turnovers and outrebounded the Barons 42-24 en route to scoring 18 second-chance points. The Barons only hit 34 percent of their attempts.

Sneeringer posted her second straight double-double and fifth of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Abby Brate added 12 points and Alicia Kimmel chipped in with 11. Allison Osborne nearly matched Sneeringer's double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.

Pitt-Bradford ends the regular season at 15-9, tying it for the third-most victories in school history.
