Williamstown, Mass. - The visiting Trinity College Bantams completed the 2012-13 regular season with a 74-42 loss against the No. 17-ranked Williams College Ephs in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's basketball action this evening. Trinity ends the regular campaign at 13-10 overall and 4-6 in the NESCAC, having dropped five consecutive games, and settles for the No. 7 seed in the league's championship tournament. The Bantams, which tied five other teams for fourth place in the final NESCAC Standings, took the No 7-seed due to several tiebreaking rules and will visit No. 2-seeded Amherst in the NESCAC Quarterfinals on Saturday, February 16 at 4 p.m.

Trailing, 9-8, at the 13:49 mark of the first half after a lay-up by junior guard Moriah Sweeney (Ramsey, N.J.), the Bantams fell victim to a 23-3 run by the Ephs that put the game away early. Williams led, 45-24, at halftime and increased its advantage in the second half. Bantam sophomore forward Hannah Brickley (Melrose, Mass.) scored a team-high 11 points and added seven rebounds, while Sweeney finished with nine points, and junior forward Shantel Hanniford (Nantucket, Mass.) grabbed seven rebounds.
