CNR falls to Albany Pharmacy, 72-55

NEW ROCHELLE, NY – The College of New Rochelle hosted Albany College of Pharmacy tonight in a HVWAC game at The Wellness Center.  The Panthers bested the Blue Angels, 72-55.

ACPHS scored 14 of the first 18 points to take a 14-4 lead four minutes into the game.  The Panthers slowly built the lead playing sound fundamental basketball, leading by as many as 19 on two occasions before CNR posted a 7-2 run to close out the half to pull within 14, 41-27, at the break.
 
The Blue Angels began to chip away at the lead, cutting the lead to seven points twice, the second following a Holly Cammarota jumper with 11:20 remaining to make the score 53-46.  CNR did not get any closer the rest of the way.
 
Alyssa Pechin posted game-highs with 20 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and four steals.  Jasmine Brandon chipped in with 10 points.
