The Pitt-Bradford women's basketball team won its third straight game Wednesday night, defeating D'Youville 63-48.

The Panthers scored 15 of the game's first 16 points and built a 16-point halftime lead by limiting the Spartans to just five made field goals in the half. Pitt-Bradford, which led by as much as 17 in the opening stanza, took a 30-14 advantage into the break.

The 14 points surrendered by the Panthers were tied for the second-fewest they have allowed in a half this season.

Allison Osborne's three-pointer eight minutes into the second half pushed the lead to 17, and it would stretch to 21 moments later on Abby Brate's jumper allowing Pitt-Bradford to cruise to its eighth AMCC victory.

The Panthers shot 48 percent from the floor, outscored the Spartans by 18 in the paint and totaled 13 second-chance points. Pitt-Bradford had 19 points off 21 D'Youville turnovers and limited the Spartans to 33 percent shooting.

During their three-game streak, the Panthers are holding teams to just 44 points per game and have kept all three opponents under the 50-point mark.

Alicia Kimmel finished with a team-high 17 points, and Geena Sneeringer came off the bench to score 14 points and grab seven boards. Brate added 11 points and nine rebounds, and Carly Datlon had nine points.

Pitt-Bradford improves to 10-8 on the season and 8-4 in the AMCC. The Panthers host conference leader La Roche Saturday at 1 p.m.
