Henry, who also collected game-high tying honors of six rebounds and four steals in just 16 minutes of play, got help from senior forward Taylor Jeffers (Franklin Township, NJ, Franklin), who scored 14 points in 15 minutes, sophomore guard Janitza Aquino (Kearny, NJ, Kearny), who scored 13 points and dished out a game-high tying six assists, and sophomore forward Melissa Tobie (Elizabeth, NJ, Roselle Catholic), who added 10 points, five rebounds, six assists and four steals in17 minutes.

Montclair State, ranked 11thin the nation on the D3Hoops.com Top25 Poll and 13th in the USA Today/Women's Basketball Coaches Association Poll, remains one of nine unbeaten teams in NCAA Div. III this season at 17-0 and tops the New Jersey Athletic Conference standings at 9-0. MSU, which has already set the school record for the best start to a season, is now just two wins shy of tying the school record for consecutive victories, which was set during the 1977-78 season.

The Red Hawks, who won at Rowan earlier this season by 41-points (84-43), turned in its largest winning margin since defeating Howard University, 118-48, on Jan. 6, 1978. MSU also reached the century mark for the first time since Nov. 29, 2003, when they beat host Galludet University in the first round of the Galludet Tournament. MSU has beaten Rowan the last

three times and in 10 of the last 11 meetings to lead the all-time series 40-31.

Montclair State, the nation's leader in scoring defense (43.6 ppg.) and ranked second in scoring margin (28.9 ppg.), took control of the game early and never looked back. After the teams traded baskets for a 6-6 tie over the first three minutes, MSU scored the next 15 points, including six straight by Henry, for a 21-6 lead with 13:17 remaining in the opening stanza. That was just the start of the demolition as the Red Hawks held the Profs to just four more field goals and 11 points for the rest of the half as they quickly built their margin to 30 points (44-14) at the 5:39 mark and then by as much as 38 points twice, the last at the intermission, 55-17.  

Rowan, which dropped to 4-13 on the year and remained winless in the NJAC at 0-9 with its fifth straight loss, held its only leads of the contest at 2-0 and 4-2. Sophomore guard Bria Hill (Atlantic City, N.J./Atlantic City) was the only Prof in double figures with 10 points.

Montclair State's dominance was apparent throughout the game. MSU outrebounded  Rowan 46-19 and scored 57 points off 37 turnovers, the 10th time this season the Red Hawks have forced the opposition into 30 or more turnovers. Montclair State, ranked second in the nation in steals per game (18.9), pilfered 23 in the contest.  

The Red Hawks' collective performance also included 44 points from its reserves as every player got into the scoring column. Freshman guard Kelly Williams (Titusville, N.J./Hopewell Junction) led the MSU reserves with 11 points and five assists.

Rowan and Montclair State are back in action on Saturday in New Jersey Athletic Conference matchups. The host New Jersey City at 3 pm. while the Red Hawks visit Rutgers-Newark at 6 p.m.
