WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College women's basketball team improved to a perfect 6-0 in the New England Collegiate Conference with a 71-38 victory over visiting Daniel Webster College on Tuesday night in Weston, Mass. The Pride improves to 9-4 overall, while the Eagles drop to 4-9 and 4-2 in league games.

The Eagles and Pride traded baskets to open the game before a quick 6-0 run by the Pride forced an Eagles timeout with Regis leading 8-2. A Monet Lowe (Framingham, Mass.) jumper on an offensive rebound extended the Pride lead to 14-2 before Vanessa Bosques (Windham, Conn.) connected on a layup to end the run and make it a 10-point game with 12:02 to go.

Following another Lowe basket, DWC's Bosques, Ariel Guzman (Yonkers, N.Y.) and Ashley England (Old Town, Maine) rattled off seven-straight points to cut the Eagles' deficit to 16-11 with just over eight minutes to play. Janaya Bradley (New Haven, Conn.) and Sabree Rodriguez (Brockton, Mass.) went on a 7-0 run of their own, capped off by a Rodriguez triple to put the Pride lead back at 12. Another three-ball from Rodriguez with 1:20 play gave Regis its largest lead of the half at 31-16. The teams traded baskets before Rodriguez converted on a running jumper with only :02 on the clock to give the Pride a 35-21 lead headed into the break.

Rodriguez led all players at the half with 16 points and seven rebounds (four offensive). Monet Lowe came off the bench to add six points and five rebounds, while Janaya Bradley and Emilee Marro (Bedford, N.H.) chipped in with four points apiece. Bosques led the Eagles with six points to go with four points each from Ashley England and Jennifer Fredericks (Beacon Falls, Conn.).

The second half was all Regis as the Pride held Daniel Webster to only 17 points in the period on 15.4% (4-of-26) shooting. The Pride lead never dipped below 18 and was as big as 35 points during the game. Regis out-rebounded the Eagles at a 51-31 clip and won the turnover battle, 19-12, turning those into 26 points off turnovers. Regis dominated the paint, grabbing 22 offensive rebounds and winning points in the paint, 30-16.

Sabree Rodriguez led all scorers with 21 points and added 11 rebounds (six offensive) and four assists, notching her second double-double of the season. Claire Ramonas joined her in double-figures with 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds, while Emilee Marro scored nine points and had six rebounds and four steals. Monet Lowe was a perfect 4-for-4 from the field for eight points and added seven rebounds.

Daniel Webster was led by 12 points and seven rebounds from Ashley Giampetruzzi (Manchester, N.H.), while Vanessa Bosques added 10 points and five rebounds. Jennifer Fredericks scored four points to go with a team-best nine rebounds (five offensive) and four assists.

The Crimson and Gold return to action on Thursday night when they hit the road for an NECC contest at Bay Path College at 8:00 p.m. Daniel Webster will try and get back on track on Thursday night as well when they host Newbury College in a 5:30 p.m. game.
