COUGARS FALL TO HAWKS 76-20

New York, NY- The Medgar Evers College Women's Basketball team fell to the Hunter College Hawks 76-20 in front of a rowdy Hawks crowd at their 2012 Homecoming Event. The Hawks improve to 2-5 Overall and 2-1 CUNYAC while the Cougars of Medgar Evers dropped to 0-10 Overall 0-3 CUNYAC.

The Hawks cruised from the opening tip. The 2nd half was much better than the 1st half. The Cougars put up 14pts which they only mustered 6pts in the opening stanza.

Medgar Evers College in the loss, was led by Freshman Guard Antanique Williams. The Brooklyn native scored 7pts, grabbed 4 rebounds, and gathered 2 steals. Junior Guard and Captain Essence Perry added 5pts.

Hunter was led by Nicole Lenard with 17pts.

The Medgar Evers College Cougars will be back in action on Tuesday Dec. 11, 2012, when they take on boro and conference rival the Brooklyn College Bulldogs. Game time will be 6pm at Medgar Evers College. All fans are encouraged to wear Black as it will be Blackout Night at the Carroll Street Gymnasium.
