Galloway Township, NJ - Head coach Karin Harvey earned her 100th win at Montclair State as the No. 14 Red Hawks remained unbeaten rolling past Richard Stockton, 81-46 in an NJAC matchup on Thursday evening.

Montclair, which jumped to No. 14 in the latest D3Hoops.com Top 25 earlier in the day, remained unbeaten as MSU improved to 14-0 overall, 7-0 in the league with their seventh win over the Ospreys (5-3, 3-3 NJAC) in the last eight meetings. The Red Hawks are now 36-17 all-time versus Richard Stockton.

Harvey picked up her second milestone this season as she became the fourth coach in program history to record 100 wins. She joins Maureen Wendelken (152 from 1975-1983), Jill Jeffrey (130 from 1984-1991) and Gloria Bradley (114 from 1993-2000) as the only coaches to reach that mark. Harvey, who earned her 100th career win in the season opener in November, is 100-50 in her five-plus seasons with the Red Hawks.

For Montclair State, Taylor Jeffers (Franklin Township, NJ, Franklin) scored a game-high 25 points while grabbing 10 rebounds for a double-double. Teammate Melissa Tobie (Elizabeth, NJ, Roselle Catholic) added 11 counters and blocked four Osprey shots. Shalette Brown (Somerset, NJ, Franklin Township)chipped in with a double-double of her own with 10 points and 10 boards.

The Red Hawks jumped out to an 11-4 lead and that was as close as Stockton would get as Montclair State forced 10 Osprey turnovers that led to 15 first-half points. Montclair also showed its dominance on the glass as they out-rebounded Stockton 24-17 in building a 41-21 lead at the break. Stockton's Ta'Yon Morgan-Jones (Atlantic City/Atlantic City) scored all nine of her points during the opening stanza against the stifling Montclair defense

The second half was more Red Hawks' authority as they widened their advantage to 74-34 with 5:32 remaining before setting the final score at 81-46. Thompson tallied 10 of her points during the final period but it was not enough to overcome the large deficit.

Nicosia Henry (Bolingbrook, IL, Bolingbrook) had seven points and five rebounds while Jen Kuczynski (Springfield, NJ, Jonathan Dayton) added nine off the bench for MSU, which held Stockton to just 30 percent shooting in the game.

Besides Thompson's 12 counters, transfer Tiana Cannon (Atlantic City/Atlantic City) scored 10 points in her Osprey debut. Sara Farrell (Marlton/Cherokee) played 38 minutes and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Stockton on the glass.

Montclair State returns to action on Wednesday, January 9 as the Red Hawks head to Ewing, NJ to face The College of New Jersey in a 6:00 pm tipoff at Packer Hall.
