CAZENOVIA, N.Y. – Junior Lauren Nunziato (West Sand Lake, N.Y.) netted a career-high 21 points in 15 minutes of action to lead the Oswego State women's basketball team (8-0, 3-0 SUNYAC) to its eighth straight win, keeping the Lakers undefeated in a 73-44 win over Cazenovia (0-9) on Friday night.

The Lakers never trailed on Friday and led by as many as 14 points in the first half and their lead was at 12 going into the break.

Four three-pointers by Nunziato in the first 11 minutes of the second half gave the Lakers a 24-point lead they would sustain for the remainder of the game. She went 7-for-11 from beyond the arc, adding to her 11th best three-point shooting percentage in the country.

Oswego State started the second stanza on a 18-9 run and the Lakers' national-best scoring defense held the Wildcats to 37 percent shooting and just 44 points in the contest.

Meagan Stover (Sr., Lake George, N.Y.), Oswego State's leading scorer, only made two of her seven attempts from the field. She pulled down five boards and nabbed five steals to go along with her season-low eight points in 16 minutes on the floor. It's the first time this season the senior scored under 10 points.

Three Wildcats scored in double-digits, but leading scorer Haley Zambito finished with just 12 points.

The Lakers have a two-week break before they travel to Washington, D.C. and match up with William Paterson in the Catholic University Tournament at 8 p.m.
