NEW YORK, N.Y. – Syreeta Williams was a point short from notching her second double-double of the season and fifth of her career but the Bearcats' early run and high-percentage shots were too much to overcome as the City College of New York fell to Baruch College, 81-30, on Friday evening at the ARC Arena.

Williams continued to be a menace on the offensive glass as six of the junior's 10 rebounds were offensive while leading all Beavers with nine points. Freshman Bria Fisher recorded six points, nine rebounds and two blocks while fellow newcomer Taylor Pompilio continued to provide a spark off of the bench with six points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal.

The Bearcats defense held CCNY to just nine points in the second half and dominated in the paint, outscoring the Beavers, 50-8, in their home opener.

The Beavers return home to host the College of Staten Island on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 5 PM at Nat Holman Gymnasium.
