Marymount Women’s Basketball Falls to Virginia Wesleyan

Arlington, Va. – Marymount University's women's basketball team snapped a three-game winning-streak with a 64-49 loss to visiting Virginia Wesleyan on Tuesday night.  The Saints drop to 4-3 overall on the year.

 

Kievanna Lacey led the Saints with a game-high 16 points while Katelyn Fischer added 13.

 

Miranda Krott paced the Blue and White on the boards with 12 rebounds while Tynisha Parks chipped 11.  Parks also added four assists and four steals for Marymount.

 

Symonne Newsome led the Marlins (5-3) with 12 points.

 

The Saints return to the hardwood on Thursday as it hosts Randolph-Macon in non-conference play.  Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. and fans can follow the action live by logging on to www.marymount.edu/athletics/wBasketball and selecting the "live stats" and "live video" links.
