Baruch Defeats Rival Hunter (66-44), Every Player Scores in CUNYAC Win

Every player scored to help the visiting Bearcats defeat rival Hunter College Hawks, 66-44, in a CUNYAC contest played on Tuesday night at the newly remodeled Hunter Sportsplex in uptown New York City.

The Hawks (1-3, 0-1 CUNYAC) led 3-2 early after four minutes of play, but the Bearcats (3-0, 1-0 CUNYAC) took control of the rest of the game to record the resounding conference victory.

The Bearcats used their defensive effort to take advantage of scoring 27 points off 32 turnovers by the Hawks. They also easily won the bench battle with a 29-15 advantage.


Francess Henrywas the lone Bearcat in double-figures with 12 points, while Sheridan Taylortallied eight points, nine rebounds, two steals and one block.

Lynda Fields(six assists), Jessica Duleba(four rebounds, two assists), Iyana Abrams(three steals) and Krystie Laurey(four rebounds) finished with seven points each. Imani Davidsonwas busy with nine rebounds and two steals.

Dimitra Thomopoulos led the Hawks with a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Baruch will continue their CUNYAC schedule on Saturday, December 1, with another trip uptown to play the Bloodhounds of John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Tip off at the Doghouse is scheduled for 4:00 pm.
