DePauw trailed Wilmington by as many as five in the early going, but used a 20-2 run over a seven-minute stretch late in the first half to pull away from the visiting Quakers on the way to a 73-44 win.

DePauw, ranked third in the latest Division III Coaches' Poll and fourth by D3hoops.com, moved to 3-0, while Wilmington dropped to 1-2.

The Tigers hit just three of their first 22 field goal tries, but still found themselves trailing by just five. Savannah Trees hit a jumper and a three to start a stretch where DePauw scored 10 points on four straight possessions to gain a 16-13 lead.

Wilmington's Makenzie Wippel temporarily stopped the run with a layup, but the Tigers scored 12 straight capped by Ali Ross' bucket with 2:05 left in the half to give DePauw a 28-15 lead. The Tigers took a 34-22 margin into the break.

The Fightin' Quakers scored on their opening possession of the second half, but the Tigers outscored them 26-4 over the next 10 minutes to take their biggest lead of the game at 60-28.

Trees paced DePauw with 15 and hit all three three-pointers she tried, while Alison Stephens followed with a career-high 11 and Ross added 10. Ellie Pearson snagged nine rebounds, blocked three shots and totaled four steals, while Kate Walker dished out seven assists.

LeAnn Topp paced Wilmington with nine points with Brianna Peters grabbing six rebounds.

DePauw knocked down 12 of 23 three-pointers and turned 28 Wilmington turnovers into 22 points.

The win was DePauw's 28th straight regular season (not including NCAA tournament games) victory and 27th straight at the Neal Fieldhouse during the regular season.

The Tigers travel to Illinois Wesleyan to compete in the Frontier Titan Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday. DePauw opens with a 1 p.m. CST contest against ninth-ranked Washington-St. Louis.
