The Millikin women's basketball team defeated Edgewood College 67-54 on Nov. 20 in Madison, Wis.
Millikin had a one point advantage at the half before outscoring the Eagles
40-28 in the second half. Millikin shot 39 percent from the field while holding Edgewood to 35 percent. Millikin won the battle of the boards 46-41.
Millikin had three players in double figures in scoring led by Brittany Czaplicki with 20 points. Bria Williams added 14 and Nikki Tipsword scored 12 points. Williams and freshman Sydnee Sturdivant each had a team high seven rebounds.
Edgewood's Alison Tobin scored 21 points to top all scorers.
Millikin improves to 1-2 while Edgewood falls to 0-3.
After a break for Thanksgiving, Millikin will be back in action on Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m. when they travel to Washington University in St. Louis.
