The Regals and Bruins will take to the court inside the Wheeler Sports Center following Friday's opening game between Lewis & Clark and Concordia (TX) at 5 p.m.

George Fox (27-0) is undefeated this season and earned the automatic bid for the Northwest Conference. The Bruins earned the conference tournament title following their third victory over Lewis & Clark this season in the finals.

Cal Lutheran (18-9) earned its bid after winning the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Tournament title. The Regals won a pair of road games over the top two seeds to qualify and are the only No. 4 seed to win a conference tournament on the women's side this season.

Cal Lutheran and George Fox faced off in Thousand Oaks back on Nov. 27, 2011, with the Bruins earning a 63-51 road win over the Regals. It was a back-and-forth battle up until the final five minutes of regulation. Cal Lutheran trailed 46-44 when George Fox went on a 14-3 scoring run essentially securing the victory.

GFU's Keisha Gordon led all players with 21 points and 10 rebounds in that contest. Teammate Hannah Munger finished with 11 points and seven rebounds.

Senior Shana Moore led the Regals with 12 points, and Chelsey Hastigan was 3-for-4 from three and finished with 11. Cal Lutheran was without All-SCIAC First Team selection Erica Whitley for that contest. She was recently named to the all-conference team along with teammates Channing Fleischmann and Hastigan.

Lewis & Clark (24-3) finished second in the regular season Northwest Conference standings and received an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament. The Pioneers only three losses this season have been to their conference rival George Fox.

Concordia of Texas (23-4) won the American Southwest Conference tournament securing the league's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. A road win over nationally ranked Louisiana College in the tournament final secured the program's first ever trip to "March Madness."

The winners of Friday's contests will meet on Saturday, March 3, at 7 p.m. inside the Wheeler Sports Center in a second round match-up.
