Albion Tunes Up For Stretch Run

ALBION, Mich. – Albion College tuned up for the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association stretch run with a 68-49 victory over Rochester College at Kresge Gymnasium.

Albion's 11-3 run powered the way to a double-digit lead with 8:20 left in the first half. Taylor Peruchietti hit a "three", Madeline Winters knocked down a jumper, Nicole Dennis tacked on a pair of baskets, and Patty Rewa made the second of a two-shot opportunity at the free throw line.

Albion continued to extend the margin, taking a 37-19 lead to the locker room at halftime.

Albion led by as many as 23 in the second half before settling for the 19-point victory.

Rewa collected 24 points and 11 rebounds for her 10th double-double of the season and Dennis contributed 10 points.
