HARRISONBURG, VA -- The Eastern Mennonite women took over early Thursday night and ran away with a 92-46 non-conference win from visiting Mary Baldwin College.  The victory extended the Royals' home winning streak to 21 straight games.

After playing even for the first six minutes, EMU unleashed a 38-4 run over the span of 13 minutes to blow open a 32-point advantage.  The women scored the first five in the second half and were never seriously threatened.

Every player in uniform got onto the court for Eastern Mennonite and all but one scored.  Five scored in double figures, including three women who each had 14 points.

Freshman Marla zumFelde (Goshen, IN/Bethany Christian) celebrated her birthday by canning three triples and finishing with a career best 14 points.  Alisa Brown (Dumfries, VA/Forest Park) and Bianca Ygarza (Conestoga, PA/Penn Manor) combined to shoot 10-for-14 from the floor as each added 14.

Kala Yoders (Myerstown, PA/ELCO) made her first five shots and charted 13 tallies.  Stephanie Rheinheimer (Manheim, PA/Lancaster Mennonite) also hit three long range bombs and had 11.

Shakeerah Sykes (Dumfries, VA/Forest Park) led all players with nine rebounds and four steals.  Keyla Baltimore (Bristow, VA/Brentsville District) had a game high six assists.

Shanice Miles (Buckingham, VA/Buckingham) led the Fighting Squirrels with 12 points, six rebounds and three steals.

Eastern Mennonite had a 47-27 domination on the boards, and out-shot MBC 52% to 32%.  The women also forced 24 turnovers.

The Royals improve to 17-2 with the win.  They will look to improve their 13-2 ODAC mark when they return to conference play this weekend, travelling to Roanoke Saturday at 4:00pm.
