Trinity Women's Basketball Routs Anna Maria, Royals Scores 1,000 Points As A Bantam

Paxton, Mass. - Senior tri-captain guard Michelle Royals (Torrington, Conn.) led all scorers with 18 points, scoring her 1,000th career point in the process, and added six rebounds, six assists, and six steals to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to an 80-35 victory over the Anna Maria College Amcats in women's basketball action this evening at the Fuller Center. Trinity improves to 7-10 with its firts win in five games, while Anna Maria drops to 5-15.

Trinity opened the game on 16-1 run and never looked back. Royals scored her 1,000 point for the Bantams in the second half on a three-pointer from the left wing, making her the ninth Trinity woman to reach the 1,000-point plateau. She has 1,007 points in her career to date.
