COLUMBUS, Ohio -- No. 10 ranked Mount Union ran its win streak to 13 games with a 66-57 win over Capital in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup Saturday in Columbus.

Kori Wiedt (North Olmsted/North Olmsted) had 15 points and Amanda Rose(Green/Green) scored 13 points as the Purple Raiders are now 18-1 overall and at 11-1 in the OAC to maintain first place in the conference. 

Shalena Hawkins had a game-high 16 points and 10 rebounds as Capital saw its win streak end at five games and is 13-6 overall and 8-4 in the OAC.

The first half had three ties and four leads changes and took a 25-21 lead into the locker room.  

Mount Union started the second half on a 9-2 run and extended the lead to 34-25 with 17:38 to play.  The Raiders extended the lead to as many as 12 points before the nine point final.

The Raiders return home with games Wednesday at 7:30 pm against Muskingum and Saturday at 3 pm against Wilmington.
