Danville, Kentucky - The Tiger women's basketball team settled for a road weekend split in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play, losing an 84-67 game at Centre College on Saturday night.

Trinity (7-10, 5-3 SCAC) had its five-game SCAC winning streak snapped with tonight's loss, while Centre (15-1, 9-0) remained unbeaten in conference play this season.

The Tigers trailed virtually the entire game, aside from small leads in the opening minutes of play.  Centre jumped out to a 22-point first half lead, and though the Tigers cut that down to 11 by halftime (47-36), it would be the closest Trinity would get the rest of the way.

Trinity was within 12 points a couple of different times during the second half, but was held back by 24% shooting in the final 20 minutes, and 3-20 shooting overall from three-point range.  Centre shot 50% or better in both periods.

Anne Waidelich came off the bench to lead the Tigers with 17 points in the game, as well as contributing eight rebounds and three steals.

Murphy Burns finished with 13 points, and Hannah Coley chipped in with 12 more points for Trinity.  Kelsey Daniel led the team with nine rebounds.

Maggie Prewett led Centre with 13 assists to go with her 11 points scored, while Chelsea Benham led all scorers with 20 points for the Colonels.  Lauren Huter added 12 rebounds, while Jane Goatley came off the bench with 15 points scored.

Trinity returns home for another SCAC weekend of play, beginning with Rhodes College on Friday evening.  The Tigers then face off against Millsaps College on Sunday afternoon.
