LIONS ROAR PAST NJCU, 67-39, AS KNIGHTS SHOOT 25 PERCENT

JERSEY CITY, NJ (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | In the 50th meeting between the schools, The College of New Jersey built a 33-17 halftime advantage and cruised to a 67-39 win over New Jersey City University in a New Jersey Athletic Conference women's basketball game on 'Green and Gold Day' at the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center on 'Coach Charlie Brown Court.'                       

 

The Lions improve to 13-6 and 5-3 in the NJAC, while NJCU (3-13, 0-7 NJAC) drops their eighth straight game. The College of New Jersey leads the all-time series 47-3. TCNJ extended its winning streak to three and moved into second place in the NJAC South Division. NJCU falls to 0-9 all-time during the 'Green and Gold Day' event since it debuted in 2003-04.  

 

For the Lions, senior forward Kelsey Kutch (Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) scored a game-high 15 points and became the 14th player in TCNJ history to score 1,000 career points. Kutch also added seven rebounds in 19 reserve minutes.
