The Millikin women's basketball team downed North Central College 70-60 on Jan. 21 in the Griswold Center.

          The game was tied at 35 at half, but the Big Blue used a 10-0 run to start the half to open up the game.  Millikin hit on 42 percent of its shots while holding the Cardinals to 31 percent.  The Cardinals had the advantage on the boards 43-39.

          Millikin dominated the game in the paint with Crystal Zeigler and Heather Pruemer each scoring 19 points.  Cecily Aldridge had 12 points and a team high eight rebounds.

          North Central's top scorer was Helen Muleya with 11 points.

          Millikin is now 11-6, 3-3 and will play at Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 7:30 p.m.
