Junior Mariah Mouzon (Elmira, NY/Elmira Free Academy) scored 15 points and snared 11 rebounds and sophomore Jessica Bandrowski (Center Moriches, NY/Center Moriches) added 20 points and seven rebounds as the Keuka College women's basketball team picked up a 68-51 win over Wells College Wednesday night inside the Frances Tarlton Farenthold Field House in Aurora, NY.

The Storm (8-3, 6-1 North Eastern Athletic Conference) led 32-28 at halftime behind 14 points from Mouzon and 10 points from Bandrowski.

Wells (3-11, 1-5 NEAC) pulled within 34-31 with 18:18 to play before Keuka went on a 26-16 run to take control of the game. Sophomore Taylor Szwec (Candor, NY/Candor) and Bandrowski each scored six points, sophomore Casey Chamberlain (Perry, NY/Perry) had five points, sophomore Danielle Gravel (Sidney, NY/Sidney) and senior Morgan Engelbert (Elmira, NY/Thomas Edison) each added four points apiece and Mouzon made a free throw during the pivotal run as Keuka pulled away for good.

Szwec finished with 14 points and seven rebounds and Chamberlain added seven points and eight rebounds for Keuka, which outrebounded the Express 48-37.

Bandrowski buried a '3' and made a jumper, Szwec hit a pair of free throws and Mouzon made a layup as Keuka jumped out to a 9-0 lead just 63 seconds into the game. Keuka's advantage swelled to 13-3 on a Mouzon free throw before the Express used a 16-0 run to take a 19-13 lead.

The Storm answered Wells' run with a 6-0 run of its own as Bandrowski, Szwec and Mouzon each made layups. The teams traded baskets over the remainder of the first half, but Keuka still led 32-28 at the intermission.

Ashley Roser scored 16 points with 23 rebounds while Jessilyn Artaho-Aki added 13 points for Wells.

Keuka returns to action with a 1 p.m. home game Saturday afternoon against the College of St. Elizabeth. Keuka then hosts Cazenovia College at 8 p.m. Wednesday night before hitting the road for crucial NEAC contests at SUNYIT (3 p.m. on Jan. 28) and SUNY Cobleskill (2 p.m. on Jan. 29).
