10th-Ranked Mules Top Devils to Remain Unbeaten

(Allentown, Pa.) – The Dickinson College women's basketball team had a tough return to the court, falling at 10th-ranked Muhlenberg, 87-38, on Wednesday night. The unbeaten Mules improved to 10-0 on the season and 5-0 in the Centennial Conference.

 

The Mules were dominant from the start, scoring the first 13 points of the game. The Devils were held to just 13 percent shooting in the opening half, trailing 40-11 at the break.

  

The second half was much of the same as 15 different players scored for the Mules. Alexandra Chili and Kate Clawson led the way, each with nine points as no Mules reached double-figures.

 

Junior Bridget Borgese (Swarthmore, Pa./Notre Dame de Namur) led the Devils with 10 points and four rebounds. Dana Walsh (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) returned to the line-up, scoring seven points and controlling a game-high eight rebounds

 

Senior Taylor Miller (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) tallied six points, four assists and two steals.

 

The Red Devils slip to 1-10 overall and 1-5 in the conference. They return home to face Bryn Mawr College on Saturday at 4:00 pm.
