Buffalo State Topples Brockport for Eighth Straight Win

BROCKPORT, NY--Buffalo State (12-1/5-1) never trailed as it pulled away for its eighth-consecutive victory, defeating host Brockport (3-8/0-4), 68-45, in a SUNYAC game tonight at the Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium.

Staci McElroy (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs) led Buffalo State with 23 points, and Kala Crawford (Middle Falls/Saratoga Springs) netted 11.  Barb Kiliszek (Depew/Lancaster) added five points, eight assists and eight steals bringing her career school total to 369, breaking Arlene Eagan's 21-year-old school record of 364.

The Bengals led 34-24 at the intermission, and continued to lock Brockport down in the second half as it cruised to the victory.  Buffalo State shot 41-percent from the field, while limiting the Golden Eagles to just 26-percent shooting.  The Bengals also forced 32 Brockport turnovers. 

Buffalo State will travel to Geneseo tomorrow for another conference game tomorrow at 2 p.m.
