New York, NY:  The Ramapo College women's basketball team defeated non-conference foe Hunter College, 75-49 on the road. The Roadrunners open the 2011-2012 season 1-0 while the Hawks stand at 0-1 overall.

The Roadrunners were led by Lindsey Gripenburg who tallied 15 points while hitting 3-3 from the foul line while Alexa Ryan scored 14 points and was 4-4 from the foul line, each grabbed four rebounds. Brittany Howes posted 12 points and a team high nine rebounds while she blocked two shots. Faith Flannery added eight points of her own while dishing out three assists. Jackie Jerkovich recorded six points, four assists and two steals while Kelly Haspel led the Roadrunners with five steals. She added four points and two rebounds while Micaela Moore tallied six rebounds and four points.

Ramapo shot 85% from the foul line as they went 17-20 from the charity stripe while they scored 29 points off of Hunter turnovers.
