Buffalo State Wins Sixth Straight, Downs Pitt-Bradford, 72-47

BUFFALO, NY--Buffalo State (10-1) never trailed en route to its sixth consecutive victory, cruising past visiting Pitt-Bradford (4-7), 72-47, in a non-conference game tonight at the Sports Arena. 

Eleven players scored for Buffalo State, led by Barb Kiliszek (Depew/Lancaster) who netted 15 points to go with six rebounds and four steals.  Alicia Bowman (Albany/Guilderland) added nine points, while Kala Crawford (Middle Falls/Saratoga Springs) had eight points, four assists and four steals.

Buffalo State lit it up in the first half, racing out to a 47-24 lead.  The Bengals coasted in the second half, but never let the Panthers get closer than 21.  Buffalo State shot 47-percent from the field for the game, compared to 34-percent shooting by the visitors.  The Bengals also held a 43-31 advantage on the glass.

Buffalo State will return to SUNYAC play next Monday with a home contest against Fredonia at 6 p.m.
