Ninth-ranked DePauw scored 14 points early in the second half to erase a nine-point deficit on the way to a 64-59 win over Wilmington in the Fred Raizk Memorial Tournament championship game. The Tigers improved to 8-1 with its seventh straight win, while the Quakers dropped to 7-3.

DePauw never led during the first half as the hosts jumped out to a 9-2 lead and held as much as a nine-point advantage before heading to the intermission leading, 26-19.

Brianna Peters pushed the Wilmington lead back to nine with a bucket on the Quakers' opening possession of the second half.

Ali Ross nailed a three before Ellie Pearson added a jumper to trim the margin to 28-24. Kathleen Molloy made one-of-two free throws and then knocked down a three to tie the game at 28-28 with 16:12 left.

Ross hit another trey before Aldrich wrapped up the 14-0 run with a jumper to give DePauw a 33-28 lead with 14:18 remaining.

The Tigers later extended the lead to 10 at 44-34 after a 9-2 stretch. Wilmington pulled to within 46-44 on a pair of free throws by Brian Eslick with 5:28 remaining before Alex Gasaway hit back-to-back buckets to push the lead to 50-44.

Wilmington's Emily Zimmerman made a three to trim the DePauw lead to 50-47, but Kate Walker hit a three and Aldrich a jumper to extend the lead back to 55-47 at the 2:54 mark.

The Tigers still led by six before Shelby Kies closed the Tigers' lead to 60-57 with 15 seconds remaining. Walker hit all four of her free throw attempts in the final 12 seconds to seal the victory.

Aldrich, the tournament MVP, led DePauw with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Ross added 10 points. Walker dished out five assists in the win.

Eslick paced Wilmington with 14 points followed by Kies with 13 and LeAnn Topp with 12. Peters grabbed a team-high seven rebounds and Kies handed out four assists.

DePauw shot 41.1 percent from the field, but hit 50 percent in the second half. Wilmington shot 41.9 percent from the floor and hit all 18 free throws it attempted.

The Quakers held a 32-30 rebounding edge, but DePauw outrebounded Wilmington in the second half, 18-12, for a 7-0 advantage in second-chance points. The Tigers committed 15 turnovers to Wilmington's 25.

Pearson joined Aldrich on the all-tournament team which also included Eslick, Topp as well as Hanover's Courtney Prater and Kalamazoo's Nicole Anotoine.
