DE PERE, Wis. - St. Norbert College extending its regular-season conference home winning streak to 35 games as the Green Knights ripped Beloit College 87-58 in a Midwest Conference game on Connie Tilley Court at Schuldes Sports Center.
The Green Knights improved to 5-2 overall and 3-0 in the Midwest Conference. Beloit dropped to 2-5, 0-4.
St. Norbert never trailed, and led by 17 points at 27-10 with 6 minutes 38 seconds left in the first half on a Krista Hawkinson layup. The Green Knights led by as many as 22 points in the first half before settling on a 40-21 lead at halftime.
The Green Knights continued to pull away in the second half, getting a 30-point lead with 12:33 to go at 58-28 won a basket by Maggie Tansey.
Fourteen different players cracked the scoring column for the Green Knights, led by Krista Pelky's 21 points. Jamie Kuhl added 13 points, Morgan Heim 11 points and Hawkinson 10. St. Norbert shot 44.8 percent (30-for-67) from the floor and was 21-for-26 (44.8 percent) at the free-throw line. The Green Knights also held a commanding 46-32 rebounding advantage.
Beloit shot 32.7 percent (18-for-55) from the floor for the game. Lauren McNanna led the Buccaneers with 13 points, and Jenna Larson added 10 points.
