ANGOLA, Ind. - It wasn't the prettiest of wins, but a 53-51 come from behind victory over Olivet College kept the Trine University women's basketball team winning streak alive. The Thunder improve to 6-0 on the season and 2-0 in the conference.

Trine was able to close the gap quickly as they scored six points in the final 1:23 to trail 25-17 at halftime.

The Thunder cut the lead to just one point as they scored 11 of the first 15 points to open the second half as they trailed the Comets 29-28. Trine took their first lead of the game on a three point play as freshman Sicily Boyce (Ashley, Ind./Prairie Heights) was fouled after making a layup. Trine quickly pushed their lead to five points with four minutes remaining in the game. Olivet cut it to just one at 50-49, on a three pointer. After a missed shot from three point range by the Comets, senior Danielle Senf (Blanchardville, Wis./Pecatonica) put the game away as she scored a layup with just 22 seconds remaining. Olivet had their chances in the final seconds, but missed several three point attempts before managing to score a layup as time expired.

Junior Megan Loveberry (Quincy, Mich./Quincy) led the Thunder with 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting and a perfect 4-of-4 from the charity stripe. The Thunder had nearly four times as many free throw opportunities as the Comets with Trine converted 13-of-19 from the free throw line compared to just 4-of-5 for Olivet.
