Westminster Comes Back from Large Deficit Before Losing at Waynesburg

WAYNESBURG, Pa. - Despite coming back from a 16-point, second-half deficit to take a lead at Waynesburg, the Westminster College women's basketball team lost 60-56 Saturday in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action. The Titans remain winless on the season at 0-6 and 0-2 in the PAC. Waynesburg improves to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in the PAC.

During a 10-minute span of the second half, Westminster went on a 26-8 run to erase Waynesburg's 16-point, 39-23 lead to take a 49-47 lead with six minutes left. The lead was short-lived as Waynesburg answered with an 8-0 run and kept at least a three-point cushion the rest of the way.

Senior forward Emily Dolsak led the Titans with 12 points to go with eight rebounds, while sophomore guard Gabby Holko bucketed a season-high 11 points to go with six boards. Junior forward Andi Ridge led the Titans with nine rebounds while scoring one point.

Jessi Drayer led Waynesburg with 21 points and six rebounds. Nine of her points were from the free-throw line. Hannah Hunter also scored 10 points while posting a game-high five steals.

Westminster committed 18 turnovers and it forced 11.
