Marymount Women’s Basketball Falls to Catholic

Arlington, Va. – Marymount University's women's basketball team fell 74-60 to visiting Catholic on Tuesday night.  With the loss, the Saints fall to 1-3 on the season.

 

Katelyn Fischer continued to impress, scoring a career-high 31 points to go with five assists, four rebounds and three steals.  Dominique Dickens added nine points for MU while Julie Tomesheski and Carolyn Hildreth both tallied six apiece.

 

Defensively, five different Saints had at least four rebounds.  Tomesheski led the way with six while Samantha Kane and Sam Spencer each had five.

 

Four Cardinals (3-1) scored in double-figures, led by Jill Woerner with 14.  Kelli Josephsen added 12 and both Holli Janicki and Liz Briones tallied 10.

 

Marymount returns to action on Monday as they travel to Towson, Md., to take on another former Capital Athletic Conference foe Goucher.
