NEWBERG, Ore. – Jami Roos scored 20 points and Hannah Munger and Keisha Gordon posted double-doubles, leading the George Fox University Bruins, ranked No. 3 in the NCAA Division III, to an 81-62 win over the Northwest University Eagles in non-conference women's basketball Saturday evening here at the Wheeler Sports Center's Miller Gym.

Following a 17-point performance in her first college game on Tuesday, Roos came off the bench to hit 7-of-11 from the floor, including 6-of-9 from three-point range.  Munger, the Bruins' 6-5 junior center, had a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds by halftime, finishing with 14 points, 18 boards, and narrowly missing a triple-double with eight blocked shots.  Gordon, a senior wing, scored 12 points with an equal number of rebounds.

Munger and Megan Arnoldy scored layups for the Bruins to open the game and the home team never trailed.  After Emily Drivstuen hit a jumper to put the Eagles on the scoreboard, the Bruins went on a 13-4 run, capped by a three from Roos, to make it 17-6 with 15:24 left in the half.  Northwest got no closer than nine points the rest of the game.

A three-pointer by Arianna Mohsenian gave George Fox its largest lead of the first half at 42-22 with 1:16 left, and the score was 42-24 at the break.  The Bruins built their lead by hitting six threes in the half to none for the Eagles, and doubled the visitors on the glass 32-16.

The Bruins' lead hovered between 15 and 24 points through the first 13 minutes of the second half before they began to pull even further away.  A layup by All-Cascade Collegiate Conference center Jessalyn Jackson brought the Eagles within 22 at 67-45 with 6:57 left, but the Bruins reeled off nine unanswered points, sealed by two Carrie Myers free throws, for a 76-45 lead with five minutes left.

The Bruins shot .419 (26-62) from the field, including .458 (11-24) from beyond the arc, and ended with a 57-35 advantage in rebounds.  They recorded 19 assists, led by Arnoldy with four, while Hayley Cusick led the defense with three steals.

Jackson led the Eagles with 22 points and Domi Mendezona added 16. Jackson and Ashley Coila each had five rebounds, while Drivstuen and Ebany Herd had two assists apiece.  Herd, Mendezona, and Jackson had three steals each.  Northwest shot .343 (24-70) from the field and was only 1-for-13 (.077) on threes.
