ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Host Muhlenberg College will play for the Scotty Wood women's basketball Tournament championship for the third time in four years after downing Shenandoah 94-60 Friday night.

No. 20 Muhlenberg (2-0) drained 13 3-pointers to key the win over SU (1-1).

Shenandoah, which committed 18 turnovers in the first half and 35 for the game, struggled shooting from the field to start the second. Trailing by 15 at the break, the Hornets were held to just eight points on two field goals and four free throws in the first 10 minutes after intermission.

The Mules extended their lead out to 24 points in this span before coasting home to the 34-point victory.

Junior Nicole Gilbertson paced SU with 11 points with Gabrielle Clarke and Kristen Olson both adding nine and Sara D'Amico eight.

Shenandoah was held to just 36.7 percent shooting from the field (18 for 49), but drained 22 of 31 attempts from the free throw line. Gilbertson (7 for 8) and D'Amico (6 for 6) led this group.

Gilbertson was also tops on the boards with six.

SU had a 37-35 advantage on the glass.

Alita Zabrecky had 24 for the victors.

The Hornets will face Neumann (Pa.) in Saturday's 1 p.m. consolation contest while MC takes on TCNJ in the championship.
