Cougars Out-Scored in the Second Half and Go on to Lose to Bethany

BETHANY, WV (February 16, 2011) . . . The Chatham University women's basketball traveled to Bethany College in West Virginia tonight for a 7 pm Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest against the Bison. Bethany out-scored the Cougars 48-41 in the second half to earn the 65-59 victory.

 

Chatham led by one point going into the break, but the Bison out-scored the Cougars by a margin of 48-41 in the second half en route to victory tonight. Chatham was led by senior Barb Petty (Amelia, OH/Glen Este) and sophomore Colleen Kiss (McKeesport, PA/Oakland Catholic), who each had 14 points in the loss. This performance marks a season-high in scoring for the senior, Petty.

 

The Cougars (9-15, 4-11) returns to action on Saturday, February 19th as they travel to Thiel College for their final PAC contest of the season, scheduled to begin at 2 pm. In the first meeting between these two teams, Chatham came away with the victory 58-55 a month ago in January.
