#16 DePauw Improves to 16-3 with 90-60 Win over Colorado College

Sixteenth-ranked Tigers placed five players in double figures and collected their 60th straight Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference home win with a 90-60 victory over Colorado College.

DePauw improved to 16-3 overall and 9-1 in the SCAC, while Colorado College dropped to 8-11 overall and 5-5 in conference play.

The host Tigers scored eight straight in the first half to expand a six-point lead to 14 before Colorado College used a 5-0 run to trim the margin to 28-19 with 7:17 left in the half. DePauw scored the next 11 to push the lead to 20 on the way to a 46-24 halftime advantage.

Colorado College got as close as 17 in the second half before DePauw pushed the margin to as much as 31 late in the game.

Katie Aldrich paced DePauw with 19 points, while Katie Mathews added 17. Ellie Pearson scored 12 followed by Alex Gasaway and Ali Ross with 11 each. Gasaway grabbed eight rebounds as DePauw held a 36-28 edge on the boards. Pearson added three blocks and Mathews three steals in the win.

Becky Luetjen paced Colorado College with 19 points and seven rebounds, while Emily Wattman-Turner added 12 points.

The Tigers shot 46.9 percent for the game after connecting on 54.5 percent in the first half. Colorado College hit 45.8 percent from the floor including 56.5 percent in the second half. DePauw held a 33-13 edge in points off of turnovers and a 22-0 advantage in second-chance points.

DePauw hosts Austin College on Sunday at Noon, while Colorado College travels to Centre on Sunday.
