ANNVILLE, Pa. – Four players scored 10 or more points as the #15 Lebanon Valley women's basketball team recorded a 71-51 victory over Lycoming Wednesday evening. The win marked the Dutchmen's ninth straight and improved the team to 14-1, 4-0 CC this season.

Widener's 66-78 loss to Albright Wednesday allowed the Dutchmen to claim sole possession of first place in the Commonwealth Conference. LVC and Widener face off Saturday in Chester, Pa., at 1 p.m.

Senior Andrea Hoover led the way for LVC. She posted 13 points, seven assists, and nine rebounds. Lauren Ruhl added 12 points, while Caitlin Murphy and Liz Borgia both tallied 11 points in the win. Murphy's 11 points set a new season-high as she previously scored 10 points against Marywood on Dec. 9. She also added a team-best two blocks and seven steals.

Suzie Noyes and Borgia assisted in the rebounding effort, grabbing 7 and 6 boards, respectively.

Murphy started the game with a jumper and six straight points from Tierney Hiltz gave Lebanon Valley the early advantage. The Dutchmen continued to roll and went up by seven points at 8:20 after a free throw shot from Borgia. The Warriors responded, scoring seven of the next nine points to tie the game at 20 with 6:18 to play.

Lebanon Valley notched 15 points in the final six minutes, including a 3-pointer by Murphy with 20 seconds to go, while Lycoming scored just seven points. Receiving 16 points from the bench and 12 in the paint, LVC held a 35-27 lead at the half.

The Dutchmen started the second half with 11 points to take a 15 point lead just five minutes in. Lebanon Valley maintained the lead, going up by 16 at 10:23 after two free throws from Murphy. The Warriors came within 10 points after a 3-pointer from Jessica Knott with under eight minutes to play, but that was as close as they'd come.

Scoring 18 points while holding Lycoming to eight, Lebanon Valley posted the 71-51 win. The Dutchmen tallied nine points off turnovers and had 14 from players off the bench in the second half.

LVC hits the road for two games beginning with Widener on Saturday at 1 p.m., followed by a trip to Messiah on Wednesday for a 6 p.m. tilt.
