Westminister, Md – Franklin & Marshall used a 32-point second half to knocked off McDaniel, 59-37, in a women's basketball Centennial Conference (CC) game Saturday. The Diplomats improved to 2-1 CC, 3-3 overall while the Green Terror remained winless at 0-4, 0-6.
F&M held a slight 27-24 lead at the break before exploding in the second half. The first half was tied five times before the Diplomats went ahead when Alexa Barbush sank a free throw, before hitting a layup, in the final 58 seconds of the first.
The Diplomats started the second half on a 12-2 run, to lead 39-26. Megan Pauley and Alison Bauer each scored four points in the run for F&M.
Pauley finished with a game-high 17 points and team-high eight rebounds. She shot 7 of 13 from the field and 3 of 4 from the line. Barbush netted 15 points and Bauer picked up 10.
Whitney Snoops recorded a double-double for McDaniel with 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
The Diplomats return to the court Wednesday when they host Gettysburg at 6 p.m.
